WHAT ARE THE DAYS AND TIMES FOR THE CLASSES?
Classes are held on every Tuesday evening at 6 pm. Classes meet in the back of the church in the gym building.
Classes - 6-7 pm for kids classes and beginner students and 7-8:30 for older children, teens, and adults that are not beginners.
Please come 15 minutes early to talk with Paul or Sara Housley about the classes, signing up, or joining the class for aa free initial lesson.

WHO IS THE HEAD INSTRUCTOR?
Dennis Hurley is the Chief Instructor for Colonial Hills. He is an 8th degree black belt in Bushido-Kai Karate and holds belts in other systems as well. He has been training in martial arts for over 35 years and has been with the ABKA for 25 of those years. Dennis is an active Deacon at Colonial Hills Baptist Church as well as other church ministries. Dennis is married, has two wonderful children, and is the current Chief Instructor of the ABKA.
WHAT ABOUT THE CLASSES THAT ARE OFFERED?
Little Dragons: this class is designed for children ages 5 to 7 and will focus on teaching the student balance, agility, proper karate technique, respect, self-control, discipline, as well as stranger awareness and avoidance, life skills, and mental focus.
Power Kids: this class is designed for children ages 8 to 12 and will focus on teaching the student balance, agility, strength training, proper karate technique, self-control, discipline, mental focus, confidence, self-defense, life skills, and stranger avoidance/ awareness and anti-abduction instruction.
Adult Beginner: this class is designed for students 13 years old to 113. This class will be taught in a traditional karate manner designed to improve a students strength, speed, balance, agility, flexibility, and physical ability. The student will learn a traditional Japanese martial art in an environment that fosters self confidence, respect, discipline, and strong mental focus. The student will learn techniques designed for self-defense as well as mental aspects of conflict avoidance.
Adult Intermediate: the student will learning fighting techniques in a safe environment, will learn to adequately and accurately defend themselves, will begin to learn advanced karate techniques, and will be introduced to traditional Japanese weapons.
Adult Advanced: the advanced student will be proficient in the basics of karate, will have confidence in fighting techniques, and will be successful in learning various self defense techniques. At this level the advanced student will become more proficient with Japanese traditional karate weapons as well as learn advanced karate technique.
