Class on Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 is open to all ranks; 7:00-7:30 is open floor time for intermediate and advanced ranks.

WHO IS THE HEAD INSTRUCTOR?

Brandon Boydstun

Brandon started his martial arts journey in 1992 as a recommendation from a doctor as a way to help improve focus and control of tics as related to Tourette Syndrome and Attention Deficit Disorder. Brandon promoted to Shodan in 1996 at the age of 12. After stepping away from martial arts while in college, he began being involved in martial arts in 2016 and began teaching his sons, Branson and Triton, that summer. Brandon opened Lionheart Karate in OKC in January 2017. In March of 2019. Brandon was promoted to Sandan (third degree black belt) and earned his Kubudo Certification.

WHAT ABOUT THE CLASSES THAT ARE OFFERED?

Lionheart Karate provides a place for students 7 years and older and is taught by the Boydstun Family and has provided an opportunity for students to learn focus, patience, self-discipline in addition martial arts and traditional kobudo (weapons).

WHO ARE THE CLASS INSTRUCTORS?

Branson Boydstun

Branson began his martial arts journey in a Tae Kwan Do class with friends in 2016 and later started learning karate from his father the same year. After promoting to orange belt in Tae Kwan Do and Orange Belt in Karate he decided to move to focusing on Karate with his father and his brother. Branson was promoted to Shodan (first degree black belt) in September 2024. Branson continues to train and teach martial arts and shares his father’s passion for kobudo.

Triton Boydstun

Triton began by following his brother into Tae Kwan Do later in 2016 when the school opened a class to allow 5-year-olds. Triton began learning under his father later that year and soon tested for his yellow belt in both Tae Kwan Do and karate. Triton was promoted to Shodan (first degree black belt) in September 2024. He continues to train and teach along side his brother and his father as well and shares his father’s passion for kobudo.
